Transported the half-assembled bike and all our gear to Gard de L’Est for the trains to: Strasbourg then Offenburg then Donaueschingen

We sat up late (for us) by the lake eating bread and cheese with a penknife, and drinking wine straight from the bottle. Just like being a teenager again 🙂 We celebrated the award of my Master’s degree, made plans for our trip, and thought about a friend who had an operation for prostate cancer on this day. We watched a lonesome swan patrolling his corner of the lake at high speed late into the night.
