“I love our little tree-house”
We upgraded both financially and vertically into a “cycle tent” (you can put your bike underneath the tent). We both slept really well and definitely needed these rest days.

It’s on a spacious, well-kept campsite with a washing machine (everything went in). The site is next to a large lake that you can swim in.
We are working on a DIY fix for our tent (at the moment that mainly involves starring at the broken pole and looking serious).
We also found a gigantic bike shop that could replace two pairs of brake blocks which have taken quite a bearing on the long down-hills. Unfortunately, they can’t replace the front disc brakes.
We took it easy in the morning and swam in the lake:

In the afternoon we walked round town, collected the bike and bought super glue for the tent pole. There was music and dancing on the bank of the Danube – on a week day:

Something you may not have noticed from the pictures – everywhere is clean and litter free. We tried to remember seeing any litter on the Danube path – plastic bags or bottles – but couldn’t come up with a single example.
Tomorrow there is another thunderstorm forecast so we’ll try to make an early start on 52 km to Kelheim.
Blijf genieten.
Great going Graham and Chris. Campsite appears very nice. Looks like you both are enjoying your travels. Bike appears to be standing up to the rigours of your travel schedule. Have fun.
